Literature Text

I walked into your house this morning
It was empty, no note, no fridge magnet
Everything still crispy clean and clever
The Christmas decoration untouched

I walked into your house this morning
A shallow Thank You letter half written
To the devil with your civil manners and your money
You're just as illiterate as ever

I walked into your house this morning
Knocking over some family pictures
I can't stand the faces, can't stand the smell
And no thanks, I won't go to church with you

I walked into your house this morning
I was no longer expecting to find anything
You think you matter but I can disagree
You're a shadow, you're unreal, you're a lie.
There'll be no more mountain climbing in the rain
No more long hair clogging up the drain
No more life will never be the same..

[[Life after Lisa - Bowling for Soup]]

Nightmares can be quite full of inspiration.

I love the poem more. Well written, recognizable feeling.

Good job.
